Keyboard Shortcuts
The grid follows Excel and Google Sheets bindings. Mod is Cmd on macOS and Ctrl elsewhere.
Selection

Selecting a row or a column keeps the active cell where it was, so the next
Enter starts editing that cell. An arrow key collapses the selection back to a
single cell and moves from there.
Shift + Space on a selected column, and Mod + Space on a selected row,
both select everything.

Values copied in the grid stay ready to paste until the next copy or a
successful paste. The dashed outline around them goes away on Escape, and on
a sort or a filter that reorders the rows underneath it.
A paste uses whichever copy came last. Copying in the grid and then copying in
another app makes Mod + V paste what the other app put on the clipboard.

The menu opens under the active cell for a cell selection, under the header for a column selection, and under the row marker for a row selection.
Differences from Excel
Section titled “Differences from Excel”Column selection follows the filter. Selecting a column covers the rows visible under the active filter. Excel includes filtered-out rows as well, while Google Sheets and Updog leave them out.
Ctrl + Space belongs to macOS. The system binds it to input source
switching or Spotlight. Excel and Google Sheets hit the same collision and offer
no alternative binding, and Updog follows them. The column header selects a
column instead.
